Terms and conditions
General
The present general terms and conditions (the “Conditions”) apply to the Gordon summer Contest (the “Contest”). By participating to the Contest, each participant accepts the present conditions.
Organiser
The Contest is organised by S.A. JOHN MARTIN, 191, Rue du Cerf, 1332 Genval, Belgium, and registered with the Crossroads Bank of Enterprises under the number 0429.062.573 (the “Organiser”).

Participation period
The Contest opens for entry at 00:01 on 27th June 2025 until 23:59 on 17st August 2025. (the “Participation Period”).
Participants
The Contest is open to natural persons who are Belgian residents and who are 25 years of age or older at the time of entry and have a valid email address and Instagram or Facebook account.
The following persons are excluded from participating in the Contest:
- minors;
- the employees or other members of the personnel of the Organiser or its affiliated companies;
- the agents of the Organiser or of its affiliated companies;
- any other person professionally associated with the Contest, including any person (in)directly involved in the creation, development, organisation, administration and/or promotion of the Contest; and
- members of the family (whether related or not) of any person referred to in (ii), (iii) and (iv) above (parents in descending or ascending line, spouses, fiancés, co-residents, brothers, sisters).
Participation – formalities and conditions
To participate in the Contest, please complete the following steps during the Participation Period:
- log in on your Facebook or Instagram account;
- next, complete the online registration form and provide your details (full name, email address and date of birth); and
- answer the tiebreaker question.
No purchase is required to participate in the Contest.
Limitation on number of entries:
A limit of one (1) entry per person applies to this Contest. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify at any time any person who has participated more than once, including by using multiple accounts.
Selection and notification of the winner
The winner will be the 1 participant:
- who has found and scanned the most Gordies this summer;
- who has answered the multiple-choice question correctly;
- who is the closest to the correct answer to the tiebreaker question
Only one winner will be selected. The winner will be selected on August 21, 2025.
The winner will receive a confirmation email on the 22nd of August 2025 to the email address provided at the time of entry, with instructions on how to collect the Prize. The winner will be required to provide proof of identity and eligibility. If the winner does not respond to the first contact within 3 calendar days, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify that participant and award the Prize to the participant whose answer to the tiebreaker question is the next closest to the correct total number of participants in the Contest.
Prize
- There is 1 prize to be won in this contest: a €500 gift voucher for Ticketmaster.
- The Prize is personal. It is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or other prizes under any circumstances.
Prize Conditions: The following conditions apply to the Prize:
- The Prize excludes all costs and expenses incurred by the winner and guest that are not expressly set out above, including: (i) any additional transportation; (ii) any additional food and beverages; (iii) any additional overnight accommodation; (iv) travel and medical insurance, visas and any other required travel documents; (v) any required COVID-19 testing; (vi) any additional discretionary spending; (vii) tips and gratuities; and (viii) any related taxes.
- The winner must be at least 25 years old to participate. The winner must provide a valid form of identification if asked to do so.
- The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available. However, if Promoter considers it appropriate, or if it becomes necessary for reasons beyond Promoter’s control (e.g. where the Prize or any element of the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason including as a result of COVID-19 restrictions), the Prize (or any element of the Prize), a Prize may be varied or swapped for a suitable alternative in Promoter’s discretion. This may happen, for example, if the Prize or any element of it becomes unavailable due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Publicity
By participating in the Contest and checking the opt-in box for the Contest, and subject to the application of article 15 of the present Conditions, the user (here the Contest participant) gives his/her consent to be contacted by the Organiser in connection with the Contest.
Exclusion from the Contest
The Organiser reserves the right to exclude participants from the Contest for the following reasons:
- any circumstance beyond its control;
- intentional disruption of the Contest mechanism or the running of the Contest;
- violation of the Conditions;
- any form of data theft or data hacking;
- in the situations referred to and provided for to this effect in the Conditions;
- the provision of incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate personal data during registration; or
- any other reason that the Organiser considers incompatible with the spirit of the Contest.
Any attempt at fraud may result in exclusion from participation in the Contest.
The Organiser reserves the right to carry out checks to ensure compliance with the Conditions, in particular to exclude certain participants in the event of abuse or attempted fraud.
Modification or cancellation of the Contest
The Organiser reserves the right to modify and/or suspend the Contest or the Conditions, as well as to cancel the Contest and/or the Prize in the event of unforeseen circumstances or in the event of force majeure, including, but not limited to, internet outages, power failures, technical defects in the server(s), virus attacks, hacking on the Internet, actions of participants, changes in the applicable legal framework or unexpected legal restrictions in Belgium, as well as any other event beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser that makes the organisation of the Contest, the application of the Conditions and/or the awarding of the Prize temporarily or permanently impossible.
In the event that the Contest is suspended or cancelled by the Organiser, participants will be notified of such suspension or cancellation on the aforementioned dedicated Contest webpage (https:// gordonsummer.com) and by email, where possible. In the event that the Organiser changes the Conditions, participants will be notified of the amended Conditions by email. Participants may accept the new Conditions or withdraw from the Contest.
If the suspension or cancellation of the Contest or the Prize is due to the actions of one or more participants, the participants concerned will be liable for any contractual or tortuous damage, direct or indirect, suffered by the Organiser as a result of the suspension or cancellation, as well as for any claims by participants or third parties.
Liability
The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook or any other social media platform or any other third party. You provide your information to the Organiser and not to Instagram, Facebook or any other social media platform or any other third party, and they are not responsible for any element of this Contest.
Except in the case of serious or intentional misconduct, the Organiser and its associated companies, their staff, and the third parties called upon by the Organiser for the organisation and publicity of the Contest, cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, of any nature whatsoever (contractual or tortuous), which may result from the organisation of or participation in the Contest, from the designation of the winner and/or from the awarding and use of the Prize, irrespective of the cause or consequences of such damage, including those caused by :
- infringement of third-party intellectual property rights by a participant;
- content and/or personal data shared by the participant;
- internet connection problems, any other problems in the telecommunications network, hardware and/or software, problems with internet service providers, problems caused by viruses, technical problems of any kind, piracy, court decisions or mandatory legislation;
- non-receipt of the registration form by the Organiser in the event of force majeure, bad faith intervention by a third party, connection problems, or any problem beyond the Organiser’s control;
- legal restrictions on participation in the Contest, which may limit or prohibit participation;
- legal restrictions on the awarding of Prize;
- changes to the Conditions or cancellation of the Contest; or
- participation by a minor.
This includes any personal injury, loss or damage, whether direct or indirect. However, nothing shall exclude the liability of the Organiser for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
In any case any damages, be it direct or indirect, contractual or tortuous, will be limited absolutely to the value of the Prize.
Personal data
By participating to the Contest, each participant confirms having read and understood the Privacy Policy of the Organiser and consents to the processing and collection of his/her personal data in accordance with this privacy policy.
The Organiser processes personal data in accordance with the applicable Belgian and European legislation, including the law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC. The person responsible for the processing of personal data under the applicable legislation is the Organiser.
The personal data processed in the framework of the Contest are the email address, first name, surname and date of birth of the participants.
The participants agree to their data being stored, processed and transmitted by the Organiser during the Contest. Personal data is collected and processed in order to ensure the smooth running of the Contest and to inform the winner in a timely manner.
If participants have subscribed to receive emails regarding updates on the Organiser’s products or services, statements regarding the Organiser’s organisation, or information about the Organiser’s products/services (or third-party promotional offers), personal data will be recorded and stored in a designated database under the management of the Organiser. Participants can unsubscribe from these emails by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” at the bottom of the email.
Each participant has the right to access, modify and rectify or erase their data. They also have the right to object to the processing of their personal data in the relevant context if there are serious and legitimate reasons for doing so.
In order to participate in the Contest, the provision of the email address, first name, surname and date of birth is compulsory for each participant. Failure to do so may result in the participant being excluded from the Contest.

Severability
If any clause of these Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, under any provision of applicable law, such clause shall be deemed to be unwritten and such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining clauses of these Conditions.
Hierarchy
In the event of any inconsistency between the present Conditions and those contained in any promotional material, the present Conditions shall prevail.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
Any complaints or disputes regarding the present Conditions may be addressed to customer.service@johnmartin.be.
In the event of any dispute concerning the interpretation of these Conditions or in relation to them, the participant and the Organiser undertake to consult each other in order to find an amicable solution. If no amicable solution can be found, the dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French speaking courts of Brussels.
The present Conditions and any obligations arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to and construed in accordance with Belgian law.
